This is the official website of the English Panel, a dedicated space for students, parents, and teachers to explore the vibrant world of English language learning at CNEC Lee I Yao Memorial Secondary School. Our mission is to foster a love for the English language and enhance students' literacy skills through school-based curricula, engaging resources and enriching activities.

Objectives:

1. to enable students to master the four linguistic skills: writing, reading, listening, and speaking
2. to help students develop a regular reading habit that allows them to engage with English more extensively
3. to boost students’ confidence in speaking English by organising various activities
4. to equip students with the skills needed for English public examinations
5. to develop a new team of school leaders as English Ambassadors who are responsible for organising all activities related to English learning for the entire school
6. to better cater to our students' needs by designing a school-based curriculum for all grades
7. to encourage students to prepare fully for their learning by requiring them to complete preparation at least once in each module and promoting cooperative learning in class to engage students in active learning
8. to introduce various IT tools and learning platforms into the classroom to make lessons more dynamic and interesting
9. to nurture self-learning and self-reflection among students so they can feel more confident in learning English independently outside the classroom
10. to collaborate with other departments in the school to promote language and reading across the curriculum
